Rapyd is an Israeli fintech company that offers businesses and consumers an international payment platform for making bank transfers, transfers to electronic wallets, and cash payments, among other services.
The onboarding process at Rapyd was tedious and lacked the fluidity required to engage users in an engaging journey from beginning to end.
Furthermore, we identified two major issues
The old onboarding process
Our redesign aimed to address these problems by creating a user-friendly and visually appealing onboarding experience that would enhance user satisfaction and engagement, ensuring a more relevant and customized journey for each user
The concept was to create a "Flowy onboarding," characterized by a single question per page, creates a perception of ease and brevity despite the user answering numerous questions.
The use of direct language, employing pronouns like "We" and "You," adopting a first-name basis, and incorporating avatars contribute to a more personalized experience.
We divided the onboarding process into two parts. The first part collects basic user information, while the second part gathers detailed information, allowing us to match users with the most relevant products from Rapyd's extensive product range.
The final part of the onboarding process involves gathering detailed information through a series of questions. To make this part more engaging and enjoyable, we transformed it into a conversational experience between Rapyd and the user.
The information provided by the user directly influences the setup and customization of their client portal, ensuring a tailored and relevant experience.
We added a dark theme to our onboarding process to create a modern look that enhances visual comfort, reduces eye strain, and provides a unique and engaging user experience. Additionally, we wanted to give users the option to choose their preferred theme, allowing them to select between a dark and a light mode to suit their personal preferences.
